holy week tuesday

“the message of easter cannot be written in the past tense. it is a message for today and the days to come. it is god’s message which must re-echo through our lives.” -frank d. getty

imagine the story of jesus’ death expressed in our lives through sacrifice and trust, and faith.

imagine the story of jesus’ resurrection expressed in our lives through belief and hope, and peace.

what if we believed the story of easter as true history and allowed it to implicate our lives? how would we live differently if we knew god had given his life for us? how would our every days be different if we fully acknowledged that a greater story was being told all around us? a story that began long ago, when jesus died on the cross being mindful of us, and continued when jesus rose from the grave in order that we might have life to the fullest, and will continue being told through our lives, and our children’s lives, and into eternity.

“i (jesus) came so they can have real and eternal life, more and better life than they ever dreamed of.” – john 10:10 (the message version)
