i am now convinced that the greatest hope for the local church lies in raising godly children.”

Love this quote, Amy. Here’s one that I have been thinking about over the last couple days.

“How do you measure the success of a church? Is it the attendance on Sunday morning? The size of a budget? The staff? The success of a local church should be directly related to the degree that it holistically transforms its immediate neighborhood. Any other success factor is secondary.”
    – John Perkins, A Heart for the Community, pg 203

Seems like the two go hand in hand…

sean – wow! what a great quote, i would love to read that book.
i love to think about ways that kids impact and transform communities. no doubt a neighborhood is different because of the influence of a child..
